Plain language summary

Lucky Sign helps you pick a daily sign, notice your day, and optionally keep a one-line story. We collect the minimum needed to run that experience. We do not sell personal information. We do not store your IP address or precise location.

What we save

Your chosen sign, whether you noticed it, and optional one-line stories.
Emotion words and broad context categories (for example work, friend, home).
Names you add for yourself (for example a friend's name) — stored only for you.
Country derived from your connection for aggregate statistics (not stored IP).

Who can see what

Private: names you label, private stories, and personal notes are visible only to you.
Public: if you choose to share a sentence, it may appear anonymously to others after review. Public stories never include your name, nickname, or avatar.
Aggregate: sign, emotion, and category counts power community statistics (for example "41% noticed 7 today"). Aggregates cannot be used to identify you.

Private moments still count in the numbers

This is important, and we say it plainly in the product too:

Public: your sentence may appear anonymously to others.
Just for me: only you will ever see it.
Either way, we count it in the numbers (like "41% noticed 7 today"), and names you add stay private always.

If you mark a moment as "just for me," your sentence stays private, but the structured dimensions (sign, emotion, categories) still contribute to aggregate counts unless you later opt out of aggregates in settings (planned).

Cookies & storage

We use only cookies and local storage required to keep you signed in and remember your timezone preference. We do not use non-essential analytics cookies in P0. If we add optional analytics later, we will ask for consent where required.

Sensitive data

Emotions and life events can be sensitive. Lucky Sign is not a medical or mental-health service. We do not diagnose conditions, profile users for advertising, or sell emotional data. Research reports use only aggregated, anonymized statistics with minimum sample sizes.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, export, or delete your data. Contact us at privacy@luckysign.app for requests. We do not sell or share personal information as defined under CCPA/CPRA.

Children

Lucky Sign is for people 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the service, contact us and we will delete the account.
